This all began for my little girl. In those long quiet days of early motherhood I would slowly stitch away whilst she lay beside me to create a special thing for her to love. Her first doll made by me when she was one year old is still one of her favorites.

I enjoyed the community that crafting brought; I learnt how to felt at our school craft group and friends would come together regularly to sew and felt together whilst our children played.

As my girl grew my time spent crafting has lessened to make way for work and study but I still enjoy using my spare time to make little things that are always loved by my little girl and now others.

With all of my creations it has always been very important to me that I use natural and quality materials which are ethically sourced. All my felting fleece is sustainably produced in New Zealand with pasture-fed Corriedale sheep. The fabric I use for my dolls is double knit 100% cotton tricot from Europe and the fill is sourced locally in Australia from Merino sheep. I use a variety of cotton and linen fabrics that I buy from local specialty shops.
